São Paulo – The Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) welcomed on Tuesday (16) in its headquarters in São Paulo high schoolers from the Guide-U program, to whom it showcased its international relations activities. The program aims to help young people in chosing a career based on practical experiences and observing the daily routine of professionals.
The student duo Nicolle Malta Reis, of the American School of Campinas, and Artur Takata, of the Colégio Bandeirantes, were welcomed by ABCC president Osmar Chohfi, institutional relations senior analyst Elaine Prates, market intelligence manager Marcus Vinícius, and international business assistant Gabriel Lucas Silva Jesus.
The representatives presented to the students the mission of the ABCC, the Institutional Relations, Market Intelligence, and International Consulting departments, and activities developed in support of the relationship between Brazil and the Arab world. They also recounted their own career path and experiences.
Arab-Brazilian Chamber’s president
Chohfi made a career in Brazilian diplomacy, having held office as secretary-general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Brazil, the second most important position after the minister. Following his retirement from government work, he was invited to become part of the board of directors of the ABCC. He has been in his second term as its president since April 2021.
