São Paulo – Executives and professionals in the building sector, like engineers and architects from six Arab countries are travelling to Brazil next week to participate in business meetings and technical visits with Brazilian companies.
There will be ten professionals from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Egypt and Jordan, who will participate in meetings with Brazilian companies during the Expo Revestir, the largest fair in the ceramic tile sector in Brazil. The fair should take place from March 6th to 9th, in São Paulo. Among the companies and institutions that the Arabs represent is the Qatari Society of Engineers and Saudi Binladin Group.
The arrival of Arab sis being organized by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex). Selection of companies participating in the so-called “Buyer Project” was made so that the professionals who decide on what material to buy for works come.
“It is the professionals who verify the quality of the product. They are very influential at the time of deciding for the purchase,” pointed out Michel Alaby, CEO at the Arab Brazilian Chamber. They Buyer Project ajenda begins with a visit to the organisation on March 6, when participants will view a talk about the home and building market in Brazil.
Meetings at Expo Revestir should take place on March 6th and 7th. On the 8th and 9th, the Arabs will visit three tile, facing and bathroom metal factories: Deca, Gyotoku and Gail. Furthermore, they will have a guided tour of the construction site of Itaquerão stadium, in the East Zone of the city of São Paulo, in the hands of construction company Odebrecht.
According to Alaby, the most sold Brazilian building material in the Gulf is granite, marble and wood. “Brazil has lost much market share in the region due to the heated domestic market and to lower competitiveness due to the Brazil cost,” shows the study.
In the sidelines of the Buyer Project, there will also be an Image Project to bring specialized sector journalists to accompany the fair and technical visits.
