São Paulo – The Ministry of Tourism disclosed on Thursday (28) that, in March this year, Brazilian airports registered a record number of arrivals for the month.
A total of 728,000 international arrivals were recorded, growth of 22.52% over March 2010, and 6.4 million domestic arrivals, growth of 21.5% in the same comparison.
According to the ministry, if this rhythm of growth is maintained, the number of international arrivals should reach 9 million by the end of the year, against 7.8 million in 2010. In the same period, the volume of domestic arrivals should reach 70 million, as against 67.6 million last year.
