Paulo Sérgio Atallah emphasised the need for Brazilians and Arabs to move from simple trade to partnerships and investments, at the 6th Ambassador Meeting in the city of Porto Alegre. He also said Brazilian exports to the Arabs are only just beginning, and that the country has the means to represent at least 5% of the regions imports. Currently Brazil sells 1.5% of total imports by the Arab League.

As well as the seminar about Arab culture which took place in São Paulo and the hydric resources meeting currently happening in the city of Fortaleza, other events are to take place, such as: a seminar in Morocco on South American culture, a meeting in Quito to discuss economic cooperation and one in Argentina.
