São Paulo – Six Brazilian companies will take part in this year’s International Agriculture Fair in Morocco (SIAM), held in Meknès from April 20 to 28. Brazil’s presence is organized by its Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock in partnership with its Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Registration to exhibit at the fair is still open at this link.
According to information from the agriculture ministry, Brazil has participated in the fair since 2023 as part of an initiative aimed at promoting the diversification of agribusiness exports. In this edition, the country’s booth will cover 40 square meters in the event’s international section. Companies attending will include those trading agricultural machinery, fertilizer adjuvants, specialty coffees, chocolates, live cattle, grains in general, black pepper, beef and products from the Amazon bioeconomy.
Data from Brazil’s Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services, compiled by the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), show that in 2025 Brazilian exports to Morocco fell 2.6% compared to 2024, totaling USD 1.359 billion. The top exported products were sugar, corn, live cattle, pepper and bell pepper, and frozen beef.
According to the agriculture ministry, SIAM is one of the leading agricultural fairs in Africa. Last year, it welcomed more than 1.1 million visitors and over 1,500 exhibitors. The ministry highlights that the event offers opportunities for products such as live cattle—of which Morocco was the second-largest importer from Brazil in 2025—timber, forest products, animal feed, coffee, açaí, as well as corn, sugar and pepper.
