São Paulo – The Brazilian government issued a statement on Wednesday (15) welcoming the landmark agreement for resuming diplomatic relations between the two countries and reopen their respective embassies. The agreement was signed last Friday (10) in Beijing, China.
The government of Brazil also commended China’s successful efforts to broker the agreement and stressed previous proceedings by the governments of Iraq and Oman for reproaching Saudis and Iranians. Pictured, leaders of Saudi Arabia, China and Iran following the agreement for resuming relations.
According to the statement, the normalization of diplomatic relations between the two countries is a sign of the willingness to reach peaceful solutions for regional challenges, which reflects the power of dialogue for contributing to the stability in the Middle East.
