The new Kuwaiti ambassador in Brazilian capital Brasília, Waleed Al-Kandari, is going to place economic cooperation as a priority of his term of office. According to the ambassador, his country is opening itself to the world and trade relations with Brazil may be expanded.

During a meeting yesterday, the board at the organization and the Arab ambassadors based in Brazilian capital Brasília discussed a series of actions that should take place in the near future, like the organization of a Week of Arab Products in Brazil and a cultural event.

The delegation organized by the Brazilian government is going to identify areas in which Brazil may cooperate in the reconstruction of the country. Members of various ministries, and public and private organizations, like the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, are going to participate.

Apart from the products whose imports are prohibited, negotiations between both blocs should cover 100% of the current tax universe. This is one of the conclusions of the meeting that took place this week between diplomats from both blocs. Negotiations about goods should be concluded this year.
