São Paulo – The Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai will open this Thursday night (6) with an act from Indo-Canadian comedian Russell Peters. It is the Middle East’s largest multipurpose indoor arena, and can accommodate up to 17,000 people, is fully air-conditioned and will host events 12 months a year. Located at City Walk, close to the Financial Centre Road and to Sheik Zayed Road, it started being built in 2017.
Since the venue has no free parking lot, officials are advising those attending the event to arrive using the Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall metro station or taking a cab or a transport app such as Uber or Careem.
Russel Peter is on his “Deported” world tour, and will perform in Bahrain on June 8, and Muscat, Oman, on the 9. He is known for addressing subjects such as racism, stereotypes, multiculturalism, and Indian, Middle Eastern and Asian culture with humor.
Coming up at the Coca Cola Arena are aMarron 5 concert, on June 14, a Westlife concert, on August 29, and a Tony Robbins’ motivational event on September 3.
The Coca-Cola Arena intends to host world-class concerts, as well as sporting and family events 12 months a year, even in the hotter summer months, being a unique entertainment venue in Dubai. Its mission is to put Dubai in the international entertainment and court sports tourism circuit, generating growth in the tourism sector and improving the life quality of United Arab Emirates residents.
