São Paulo – African women will meet in Gambia from June 13 to 15 to discuss their role of females in leading the continent. According to the news agency Panapress, more than 250 participants are expected.
The African Women Leadership Conference (AWLC 2012) will be held at Hotel Sheraton, in Banjul, and is one of the leading events of the type. Topics should include women’s autonomy, development of leadership abilities and others.
During the meeting, prizes will also be awarded to outstanding African women. The conference took place in Ghana in 2011 and in Nigeria in 2010. The 2009 meeting was hosted by Ghana.
