São Paulo – Egyptian company Dakahlia, which specializes in producing and exporting agricultural products such as citrus fruits, potatoes, and onions, is participating in the APAS Show 2023, in the city of São Paulo, for the second year straight. The company is exhibiting at a space organized by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC).
Gehad Gamal, senior director of accounts of the company, reported through its first participation in the event in 2022, Dakahlia entered the Brazilian market. This year, around eight containers were exported to the South American country, which motivated the company to participate in the show again. The goal is to increase the sales volume.
Dakahlia has been exporting for 25 years. Production capacity is estimated at around 20,000 tonnes of different citrus fruits, 60,000 tonnes of potatoes, and 4,000 tonnes of onions. The volume of citrus exports is about 8,000 tonnes a year.
They are mainly bound for markets such as Russia, European Union countries, the Middle East, some African nations, and, more recently, Brazil.
Gehad added demand for the company’s products led to the addition of new items for export. She pointed out the company also seeks to export garlic, olives, olive oil, and raisins.
