São Paulo – Egypt’s Mohamed El Baradei, formerly the director of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and winner of the 2005 Nobel Peace Prize, will give two lectures in Brazil this week. The first one will take place in São Paulo, on October 30th, and the second one will be in Porto Alegre, on the 31st.
The lectures are part of the Frontiers of Thought project, organized by a group of culture professionals. Baradei will discuss topics such as the Arab Spring in Egypt and the potential nuclear threats posed by countries such as Iran and North Korea.
The conference cycle started on April 23rd and has brought scholars from India, the United Kingdom, Bulgaria, United States and France to Brazil. Only those who have purchased a full ‘passport’ to the event will be able to attend Baradei’s lecture.
