The directors were received by the heads of the ABCC; president Osmar Chohfi, secretary-general Tamer Mansour, cultural director Silvia Antibas, and Marketing and Content director Silvana Gomes. “We recognize the UAE has a significant role, and we have much to learn with them concerning connections,” said Chohfi.
The Emirati mission also visited the facilities of the Brazil-Arab News Agency (ANBA) and watched a presentation on the work developed by the local news outlet, which aims to connect Brazilians and Arabs. Alrayssi highlighted the importance of cooperation between the UAE and Latin America in communication and culture. “As Arabs, we are proud to be here at this organization. I think it is important for us as a media organization to be connected, and we are trying to connect ourselves with Latin America,” stated Alrayssi.
The previous weekend, the executives visited some of the tourist attractions in the city of São Paulo, such as the Football Museum. The WAM team’s schedule in South America will continue over the next few days in São Paulo, Brasília, Colombia, and Mexico.
