São Paulo – In the shootout, the United Arab Emirates team Al Ain made 5 x 4 against the Copa Libertadores de América champion River Plate on Tuesday (19). The match for the Club World Cup was one of the semifinals of the championship held in UAE. Now, Al Ain will proceed to the tournament final, that will take place next Saturday (22) at 2:30 pm (GMT-3).
The opposing visiting team will be decided on the match this Wednesday (19) between Kashima Antlers (Japan) and Real Madrid (Spain) which will take place at 2:30 pm (GMT-3), in Abu Dhabi, in the Zayed Sports City Stadium.

The match that put Al Ain into the final was decided at shootout. During the regular time, the score was 2 x 2. The first goal of the home team was scored by Marcus Berg, and second one was by Brazilian Caio Lucas Fernandes, who plays for the UAE team since 2016. He scored at 5 minutes into the second half of the game. Fernandes scored another goal during the shootout.
The two goals scored by the Argentinean team were made by Rafael Santos Borré. The match took place at the Hazza Bin Zayed stadium, in Al Ain. Al Ain had already won against Team Wellington from New Zeland, by 4 x 3, also in the shootout, and against Espérance de Tunis from Tunisia, by 3 x 0, at the quarters.
