São Paulo – Expo 2020, a world event to take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, will open a preview to the public later this month. Bookings can be made for visitors interested in exploring the experiences that are being prepared for the first world exhibition to take place in the Middle East. The preview will go from Friday (22) to April 10, 2021, operating five days per week. The official event was rescheduled for October 1st, 2021 to the middle of 2022 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The experiences are divided into Terra, which includes the Sustainability Pavilion (pictured above), followed by Alif, the Mobility Pavilion, and Mission Possible, the Opportunity Pavilion. Each visit costs AED 25 (USD 7). Bookings can be made online, and visitors must follow enhanced health and safety measures. The experience will operate with limited hours and capacity restrictions.
The preview will start with Terra – The Sustainability Pavilion, which will open to the public from 22 January to February 3. The experience is expected to last 45 minutes. The Brazilian Pavilion is located in it, but the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), which organizers the Brazilian space in the event, told ANBA it won’t be part of the preview.

Terra was built to be net-zero for both energy and water. Its features include 1,055 photovoltaic panels arranged on a 130-metre-wide roof canopy and a mini forest of “Energy Trees.” The experience offers an interactive walk to encourage visitors to consider how their behavior affects the environment, empowering them to become agents of change.
