São Paulo – This Thursday (21st), the Brazilian airline Gol announced that it has entered into a mileage-sharing agreement with Qatar Airways. The deal provides that participants in Gol’s Smiles and Qatar Airways’ Privilege Club customer loyalty programmes can collect mileage points in all flights of the two companies. Since last year, the two airlines also have a codeshare agreement.
According a statement issued by Gol, mile retrieval will be available “soon,” though the exact date was not specified.
Under the codeshare agreement, Qatar Airways can sell Gol flights from São Paulo to 48 destinations across Brazil. The Qatari airline flies from Doha to São Paulo on a daily basis.
