São Paulo – Companies exhibiting in stands organized by the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) at Gulfood, the largest food and beverage fair in the Middle East, are closing deals during the event. At least two participants reported completing sales during the fair, which began on Monday (17) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and ends on Friday (21).
The Alta Paulista Mixed Agricultural Cooperative (CAMAP) is one of them. A peanut supplier, CAMAP is participating in Gulfood for the third time this year. “We’ve already closed deals at the fair this year and are in negotiations for major partnerships and future business,” said the cooperative’s director Evandro Luiz Jurevits, who is in Dubai for the event.
Jurevits highlights the essential role that both Gulfood and the ABCC play in exporting their peanuts to the Arab market. “We participate in the fair mainly because of the results it provides us, both in the short, medium, and long term, due to the visibility it gives us worldwide,” he says.
According to him, CAMAP has a close relationship with Arab countries. “We do business, and over the years, we’ve made friends and partners,” he shares. “Gulfood is the gateway that made all of this possible. And this was only possible because of our partnership with the ABCC,” Jurevits said.
Another company exhibiting with the ABCC and reaping the benefits of the Dubai fair is food firm Centro International. According to the company’s CEO, Rony Yousef, Gulfood is a very productive fair, and the company has closed many deals at this edition, as well as adding projects to its pipeline from the event. Centro has been attending as an exhibitor since the beginning.
“For our group of companies, Gulfood has always been the main event and focus in terms of yearly attended exhibitions,” Yousef told ANBA. According to the executive, the fair’s importance and the high level of exposure that companies gain by being in Dubai, UAE, a global business hub, weigh heavily in this choice. Centro has branches in the UAE, Brazil, and Jordan.
“Centro is a very differentiated company that provide many added values to its partners internationally, offering a diversified portfolio, competitiveness, market intelligence and being always available to attend its clients anytime. Adding to that the high level of reliability, honesty and humbleness of Centro team,” Youssef added.
