São Paulo – The Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority (DAFZA) will release the second edition of the DAFZA Halal Guidebook in an online event next Wednesday (9) at 11 am, Dubai time (4 am, Brasília time). DAFZA said the webinar will be a chance to learn and interact with industry specialists. PIctured above, a halal fair in Dubai.
The Guidebook is intended for local and foreign businesses. it covers the growing Islamic halal economy in Dubai and its ecosystem; opportunities in halal trade; halal certification; and conformity processes. The first edition was distributed in over 30 countries, in tandem with chambers of commerce and business organizations, with versions available in English, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese.
The webinar will open with DAFZA Marketing and Corporate Communications director Abdulaziz Al Hammadi and the Strategy & Planning director at the Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre (DIEDC), Wadha Al Ghafli.
The keynote lecture will be “Dubai, a global door to the halal industry,” delivered by DinarStandard CEO and managing director Rafiuddin Shikoh. A panel will address opportunities in Islamic economy, featuring DAFZA’s senior advisor to the assistant director-general for Finance, Commercial, Customer Relations & Innovation and Future, Abdur Rahim Nabi. Speakers will be Halal Trade & Marketing Center (HTMC) manager Tomas Guerrero, Salaam Gateway head of Product Ibn Arabi ElGoni, and DinarStandard research analyst Iman Ali.
The event will be hosted by DAFZA in partnership with DinarStandard, with support from the DIEDC and the HTMC.
