Rio de Janeiro – Brazilian industry production ended 2018 with a 1.1% growth. The information is from the Monthly Survey of Industry – Physical Production (PIM-PF, acronym in Portuguese) published this Friday (1st) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics. In December, industrial production grew by 0.2% compared to November.
The year´s high was sustained by 13 out of the 26 industrial branches surveyed, specially by motor vehicles, trucks and semi-trucks (12.6%), metallurgy (4%), celluloses, paper and paper products (4.9%), extractive industries (1.3%), and machinery and equipment (3.4%).
