São Paulo – The industrial sector agenda for environmental issues, passed last week at the plenary meeting at the end of the 1st Brazilian Industry Conference for the Environment (CIBMA), organised by the National Confederation of Industries (CNI) in the southeastern Brazilian city of São Paulo, has included, among its capacitation programmes, capacitation for environmental aspects in product development projects – the so-called eco-design. The proposals of the CIBMA will be reviewed by the CNI Environmental Council (COEMA) on the next 25th, and then by the board of directors at the CNI, in a meeting on the 26th.
Presented by the manager at the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP), Nilton Fornasari Filho, the programme also forecasts the establishment of partnerships and research institutes aimed at developing the eco-design field. "We have also proposed incentives to the formation and development of human and material resources in the field,” he claimed.
