Brasília – Investment was up 1.5% in Brazil in April from March, as per the seasonally adjusted Gross Fixed Capital Formation Indicator released this Thursday (7) by the Institute for Applied Economics Research (Ipea). Year-on-year in April, investment climbed 13.1%.
Investment was also up 2% in the moving quarter ended April. In the 12 months through April, after going down 44 times straight, the indicator was up 1.4%. Machinery and equipment purchases drove growth in April.
