São Paulo — Jordan’s Giant Industrial Group exports disinfectants, detergents and a whole line of household items to over 40 markets across the world and aims to sell to Latin America. The firm is exhibiting its products at APAS Show, which is taking place in São Paulo.
Ahmed Al-Damour (pictured), Sales director of Giant, said the firm is one of the largest industrial groups in the Middle East and work on three fronts: chemical products and home care products, non-wood panel decorations, and foodstuffs like cookies, sweets and other chocolate-based products.
The company owns seven plants in Jordan, all of which operate with solar power, with chemicals being its leading sector and most of the output intended for exports. The Arab states are the main markets served, but Giant also sells to Australia, Pakistan, the United States, Sweeden, Belgium, Germany, and others.
In Latin America the company wants to break particularly in Brazil, where it sees a large market opportunity. The products whose potential is deemed the largest are the washing powder, super gel products for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and offices, chlorine, dishwashing products, and hand and face washers.
Al-Damour stressed the company is participating in APAS 2023 with the purpose of seeking distributors in the Brazilian market so that the Latin American country can be a gateway for all other Latin American nations.
