São Paulo – June 05, the World Environment Day, saw the debut of the AgroResponsável blog (http://agroresponsavel.blogspot.com), dedicated to socioenvironmental responsibility in agribusiness. The purpose of the blog is to expose socioenvironmental responsibility actions in agribusiness, and to review the way in which these actions are being propagated, from the point of view of integrated communication combined with that concept. Another goal of the blog is to identify situations that might turn into socioenvironmental responsibility programmes, ones that bring advantages and benefits to those involved.
According to journalist Ronaldo Luiz Mendes Araujo, the creator of AgroResponsável, the blog offers, in its premiere, a download of the survey that Araujo presented as his postgraduate course conclusion work in Organizational Communication/Public Relations, which breaks down the propagation process for socioenvironmental responsibility in the agribusiness sector. "The result of this work, plus my experience as a communications worker in the sector, led to the idea of creating the blog."
According to Araujo, the objective of AgroResponsável is to promote reflection on the subject, thus contributing to strengthen the integrated communication process, one that expresses responsible socioenvironmental management in agribusiness, a crucial effort for adding the “sustainable development” value to the sector’s reputational capital.
