São Paulo – The 2nd Maghreb Islamic Finance Forum will take place on April 14th and 15th, in Nouakchott, the capital of Mauritania. The meeting is organized by the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector and the General Council of Islamic Banks (Cibafi), according to a news story on Panapress.
The forum, to take place at Tfeila Hotel, should bring together economists and representatives of financial institutions and small and medium companies in the region. One of the themes will be the potential of Islamic financing in Mauritania and the Arab Maghreb, a region that also includes Algeria, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia.
Another topic to be discussed will be development and reforms for greater local Islamic development, as well as the part played by Islamic finance in the expansion of economies and growth of small and medium companies in the Maghreb, among other topics.
