São Paulo – Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund Mubadala Investment and Brazilian planemaker Embraer signed a strategic framework agreement on Tuesday (21) to pursue long-term collaboration across supply, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), human capital development, and research and development.
The agreement was signed by Amer Siddiqui, Chief Executive Officer of Mubadala’s UAE Investments Platform, and Dimas Douglas Tomelin, Senior Vice President Corporate Strategy, Digital and Innovation, at the Farnborough International Airshow in England, UAE state news agency WAM reported.
According to WAM, workforce development is a cornerstone of the agreement. Embraer and Mubadala will jointly define strategies for talent development and design training programs aimed at strengthening engineering and aerospace capabilities in the United Arab Emirates. The initiatives will include hands-on training, knowledge transfer, and internships or professional placements at Embraer’s facilities for local talent.
