São Paulo – International operations of Brazilian cosmetics company Natura have accounted for 10.8% of net revenues in the second quarter of this year, according to information disclosed by the company last week. Net revenues reached 1.6 billion reals during the period, up 15.4% from the same period of last year.
Natura is the leading manufacturer of cosmetics and hygiene and beauty products in Brazil. The company is also number one in direct sales in Brazil, with annual revenues higher than 5.5 billion reals. Based in the city of Cajamar, in the state of São Paulo, the company has operations in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Colombia and France.
From April to June this year, the total number of individual consultants for the company also increased, and reached 1.506 million people, up 16.2% from the second quarter of last year. The number of consultants in foreign countries was up 28.8%, and reached 280,000 people. The company operates under a system of direct sales made by the consultants.
