São Paulo – Sudan inaugurated the renovations at Portsudan International Airport, located on the country’s East Coast, on the Red Sea. According to state news agency Suna, a customs hangar, a health center, and a VIP lounge were opened.
The infrastructure for access to the terminal also received improvements, with the construction of a passage to the airport. Portsudan is a gateway to the Red Sea. It receives flights from neighboring countries such as Ethiopia and Egypt. Twenty kilometers from the airport is the Portsudan port, the main port of the African country.
According to Suna, the terminal expansion was inaugurated on Monday (24) by a member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and deputy chief commander of the Sudanese armed forces, Ibrahim Jabir.
