Dubai – Company BCF, from São Paulo, has already started negotiating sales at the Big 5 building sector fair, which began on Monday (25) and ends on Thursday (28), in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.
Dylan Goes, the company Export manager, explains that he was visited by a building sector company representative who operates in Abu Dhabi airport. “It is an outsourced company. He said that there are areas in the airport in which the PVC ceiling may be used and is interested in buying,” he explained, regarding his talks with Bassan Abdallah, the supply manager at TVA Construction.
“He took many of my samples and I am going to send others,” said Goes. According to him, Abdallah was interested in the 200 mm ceiling material. “It is more practical. The installation takes half the time,” he explained. Generally, the plates are 100 mm and it is necessary to overlap the material.
Goes explained that the company already has clients in Africa, in countries like Angola, Botswana and Mozambique. The decision of participating in the fair was to reach the African market, as many buyers in the region visit the event, but also to expand to new countries.
“We wanted to show products not just to the African market, but also to the Arab market itself,” he pointed out. After talking to a trading company from Bahrain, the executive evaluated that the country may be a new market for his company. “There is a significant market for PVC in Bahrain. It may be very interesting, as there are more opportunities there,” he evaluated.
