São Paulo – The Randon group posted net revenues of 362 million Brazilian reals (US$ 224 million) in April, an increase of 25% over the same month of 2010, according to a statement issued by the company. From January to April, consolidated net revenues reached 1.3 billion reals (US$ 805 million), an increase of 23% compared with the same period of last year.
Total gross revenues (plus taxes) reached 549.3 million reals (US$ 340.2 million) in April and 2.2 billion reals (US$ 1.3 billion) from January to April. There was an increase of 23% month-on-month and of 24% in the four month period compared with 2010.
The Randon group controls nine companies in the fields of trailers, railway wagons and special vehicles, auto parts, automobile systems and services. The company is headquartered in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, but also maintains operations in other states of Brazil and abroad.
