São Paulo – The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce is now selling spaces at its stand at the Big 5, the Middle East’s premier civil construction industry expo. The event will take place in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates from November 21st to 24th.
The Arab Brazilian Chamber is offering 19 spaces measuring roughly 10 sq m each. Registration is open until September 16th. Chamber members get a 25% discount.
“We have been attending this fair since 2003. The Arab market is relevant to the Brazilian civil construction industry because domestic demand is weak right now, and the region is an alternative for companies to seek business in,” says Arab Chamber CEO Michel Alaby.
“Generally speaking, there is a strong demand for stones, marble, granite, wooden doors and ceramic facing at the expo,” Alaby explains. In 2015, the Big 5 featured 3,000-plus exhibitors and welcomed close to 60,000 visitors.
Alaby remarks that major construction projects across the Gulf entail a strong demand for building materials, including Expo 2020, which Dubai will host, the FIFA World Cup, set to take place in Qatar in 2022, and the Saudi Arabia metro works, among others.
Companies participating in the trade show with the Arab Chamber will rely on the organization’s full support during the event. “We are going to send Marketing and Market Intelligence specialists to support the enterprises,” Alaby says. Besides exhibiting at the stand, the executives will also make technical visits in Dubai.
