São Paulo – Volume of services in Brazil grew 0.1% from September to October this year according to the Monthly Survey of Services published this Friday (14) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
Compared to last year October, there was an 1.5% increase.
However, year to date and over a 12-month period, the volume dropped by 0.2%.
Nominal revenue of the sector remained stable from September to October, but grew 4.2% compared to last year October, 2.5% year to date and 2.9% over a 12-month period.
From September to October there was a growth in two of the five segments surveyed by IBGE: information and communications (0.5%) and others (5.5%).
On the other hand, there were drops in services supplied to households (1%), professionals, administrative and complementary (1.9%), and transportation, auxiliary transportation and mail (0.2%).
