Silk company from southern Brazil plans to export to Morocco
O Casulo Feliz (The Happy Cocoon), which started with a wooden distaff and production of six kilograms of thread every month, currently produces 2,000 kilograms a month and employs 140 people, all residents of a poor neighbourhood of the city of Maringá, in the state of Paraná. The company already exports silk thread and finished products, among them carpets and curtains, to Spain, Portugal, Italy and Argentina.
