São Paulo – Syria has invitations to tender for the supply of equipment, construction and services in the energy and telecommunication sectors. The calls are from Public Establishment of Electricity for Generation (PEEG), Syrian public power company, and Syrian Telecom, Syrian telecommunication company. The deadlines to submit bids range from March to June this year.
One of the Syrian Telecom’s invitation to bids is for the supply, installation and operation of equipment and interconnect program and infrastructure application program for trading management, and training personnel. Bids must be submitted until April 15 and execution should be made within 150 days from the date of being notified.
Other invitation to tender – local and international – is for the expansion of the digital transmission network for the East region of the country and restoration of a protection link, with the spare parts necessary and adequate to install the project for five years, as well as training personnel. Bids must be submitted until March 18 and the execution period is six months.
Syrian Telecom has another invitation to foreign tender for the supply installation and operation of equipment and software for the automation of some sectors of the company and training their personnel. Bids must be submitted until June 10 and the execution period is 18 months. Each invitation asks for bid bonds, which range from EUR 23,000 to EUR 122,000 (USD 26,000 to USD 139,000).
Public Establishment of Electricity for Generation also announced call for tender for rehabilitation of three power plants in Aleppo. Execution period is 36 months, and the bid bond is EUR 3 million (USD 3,4 million). Other call is for construction of one steam unit working on fuel end/or natural gas in Aleppo, including the supply of spare parts and training personnel. Bid bond is EUR 5 million (EUR 5,7 million). In both cases, offers should be presented until March 25.
Another call for tenders is for another steam unit on fuel and/or natural gas, including the supply of spare parts, tools and training personnel for operation and exploitation. This station will be in Deir Alzzor, the largest city in East Syria. The big bond is EUR 5 million (USD 5,7 million), and execution should occur within the shortest period possible. Offers should be presented until April 4.
