Both foreign sales and production dropped last month. The President of ANFAVEA stated it reflected the obstacles faced by the industry, such as the worldwide shortage of components.
Brazil had a drop in production and exports of vehicles in June compared to May but managed to increase volumes compared to 2020.
Foreign sales amounted to 95,800 light vehicles, trucks and buses from January to March, up 7.6% from a year ago.
Despite a month-on-month decline, car exports from Brazil climbed 21.9% from a year ago.
Last month saw exports from Brazil increase month-to-month and year-to-year, to 35,000 units.
Brazilian manufactures association estimates sales at 3.05 million units. But exports are expected to decline.
Year-to-date through November saw 2.53 million units sold, up 8.3% year-on-year, while foreign sales slid by 33.2%.
Numbers by Anfavea show that foreign sales from Brazil were down 22.6% year-on-year and 34.7% year-to-date.
Foreign sales declined 7.1% year-on-year and 0.2% from August, Anfavea reported.
The month saw 233,000 units made. In the first half, however, output was up 2.8%.
