Carlos Fávaro met on Thursday (18) with ambassadors from Arab countries and leaders of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, among other entities, to discuss initiatives aimed at closer ties between the Arab and Brazilian markets.

Representatives of bilateral chambers of commerce and South Brazil industries gathered at Santa Catarina industry group FIESC to discuss ways to mitigate the impact of U.S. tariffs on Brazilian exporters. The Arab-Brazilian Chamber participated.

Starting on Monday (1st), the news of the Brazil-Arab News Agency (ANBA) will feed the Arab-Brazilian Chamber’s platform created to digitalize trade between Brazil and Arab countries.

Arab Brazilian Chamber high-level executives handed over a survey to Brazil’s Agriculture and Livestock and Foreign Affairs ministries showing that some of the goods the US has imposed sweeping tariffs on could be sold to Arab countries instead.

An executive from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization discussed collaboration possibilities with the Arab-Brazilian Chamber. In an interview with ANBA, Gunther Beger said the agency is making efforts to reach a new level of private sector engagement in its areas of work.
