The country must promote its goods and services to countries it wants to sell to. So said the participants of the panel ‘Agribusiness: Brazil and its Leading Role in the Halal Market,’ during the first day of the Global Halal Brazil forum.

In the opening ceremony of the Global Halal Brazil forum, Arab Brazilian Chamber president Osmar Chohfi presented good prospects for the halal market. Agriculture minister Tereza Cristina participated remotely and underscored the magnitude of Brazil as a supplier of certified products.

The segment has seen a recovery from 2020 in Brazil. Although the country has historically been an eyewear importer, local brands have worked with Brazilian design in pursuit of breaking into markets, including the Arabs.
