The repertoire of Brazilian classical music includes pieces by Heitor Villa-Lobos, Carlos Gomes, Francisco Mignone, and others. The concerts will take place in the Cairo Opera House on February 12 at 8 pm.

Several singers and actors from Brazil will be featured in the TV show ‘Embracing Beirut,’ to air on Brazil’s TV Cultura and Lebanon’s LBCI next Sunday as a fundraiser to help the victims of the August blast at the Port of Beirut. The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce is supporting the initiative.
The free show is part of the schedule of ‘Ancient Egypt – From Everyday to Eternity,’ an exhibition currently taking place at Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil (CCBB).
The event kicks off on Friday morning with an exhibit at the Villa Lobos Park Library in São Paulo. A ceremony on Thursday evening saw artists, diplomats and authorities flock to the Chamber headquarters.
Beirut’s Brazil-Lebanon Cultural Center will welcome Fernanda Canaud on September 12.
Arthur Moreira Lima will perform in the Arab country on Saturday, July 13. The repertoire includes Bach, Chopin, Ernesto Nazareth, Luiz Gonzaga, and Pixinguinha.
Cia. Cabelo de Maria and the group Al Tananir will perform all types of folk songs, such as lullabies and celebrations. The concert takes place this Tuesday (1) at Sesc Vila Mariana, free of charge.
A free concert by group CANJA, featuring Syrian singer Oula Al-Saghir and Arab and Brazilian musicians, will take place at 8 pm on the 12th at Sesc Belenzinho.
