The Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce is bringing 15 companies to take part in the supermarket trade fair, which takes place next week in São Paulo. The Brazilian government’s decision to eliminate the import tariff on olive oil is expected to boost business.

A delegation from the Unaizah Chamber of Commerce and Industry carried out a series of appointments in the state of São Paulo earlier this week. In a meeting at the Arab-Brazilian Chamber headquarters on Thursday, leaders discussed mutual support for the export of Saudi dates to Brazil and the sale of Brazilian products to Saudi Arabia.

Palestinian companies are showcasing dates and date-based products at the Anuga Select Brazil fair, which started on Tuesday (8) in São Paulo. They are also offering olive oils and pistachio-filled chocolate in bid to begin selling them to Brazil.

While visiting date processing facilities in the state of São Paulo, Saudi entrepreneurs say they can supply the Brazilian market with the product and help popularize date consumption in the country.

The director of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce office, Rafael Solimeo, attended the date festival in Unaizah, Saudi Arabia, and during an agenda arranged by the Unaizah Chamber of Commerce, was able to learn about the local economic life and identify opportunities for Brazilian companies.

Representatives from Arab companies who are in Brazil to exhibit at the APAS Show visited São Paulo food supply center Ceagesp on Thursday (15) and found foods from their countries being sold there. They seek more opportunities to sell to the Brazilian market.

Five Tunisian companies will exhibit at APAS Show to take place in São Paulo next week. Tunisia’s ambassador to Brazil, Nabil Lakhal, talked to ANBA on the participation. Arab country will showcase mostly dates and olive oils, products it is internationally renowned for.
