Ana Paula Lima was already making Brazilian savory snacks and sweets to order through the Brazilian Table project. In January, she will appear on the show Million Pound Menu Egypt. Meanwhile, her small snack bar marks one year of “selling” Brazil.

Brazil’s participation in the Food Africa fair, a trade mission, and an institutional agenda drove its presence in Egypt this December, led by the Arab-Brazilian Chamber. Companies expect USD 53 million in business from the Cairo event.

Egyptian international sales of dates reached USD 40 million last year, and the country’s Food Industry Export Council aims to reach USD 100 million by the end of 2024. The South American market is one of the focuses.
