The Brazilian musician of Lebanese descent will play original instrumental songs with a quartet. The free concert will be this Saturday (13) at 6:00 pm, in Sesc Santana.

São Paulo-based musician Sami Bordokan is one of the best-know names when it comes to Arab music in Brazil. Besides singing, playing different instruments and writing, Bordokan is now performing as an actor in the musical The Prophet.
Rajana Olba has been playing the instrument for over 20 years and learned how to craft it during the pandemic. He also produces cavaquinhos and violins.
The free show is part of the schedule of ‘Ancient Egypt – From Everyday to Eternity,’ an exhibition currently taking place at Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil (CCBB).
Sesc Jazz to run later this month will feature Dhafer Youssef sings and plays oud, a string instrument used in the Middle East. He mixes jazz with Indian sounds.
