In his final address in Beirut, the leader of the Catholic Church spoke about peace and dialogue, themes that were central to his messages throughout the Arab country. Leo XIV said that this trip fulfilled a wish of Pope Francis.

At the Vatican, Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who is also the Prime Minister of Bahrain, held discussions on peaceful coexistence in relations and the need to end the conflict in the Middle East.
On a trip to the Gulf country, the head of the Catholic Church took part in forum for coexistence and urged peoples to put aside arms, protect the environment and overcome differences. On Saturday (5), about 30,000 people attended the service, including Brazilians living in Bahrain.
The pope of the Roman Catholic Church will visit the Arab country for a forum on the dialogue between East and West. The king of Bahrain expressed gratitude for the pontiff’s presence in the country.
The Pope of the Catholic Church was welcomed with honors when landing at the Bagdad International Airport on Friday (5). In a speech in the Presidential Palace, Francis defended peace in the region.
The Vatican informed this Monday (7) that the supreme pontiff will be in Iraq from March 5 to 8. He was officially invited by the Iraqi administration and the local Catholic Church.
It will be the fist trip from a Pope to the Arabic Peninsula. Francis will participate in inter-religious dialogue and celebrate mass in Abu Dhabi.
