São Paulo – With a brand that is domestically established, textile mill Puramania wants to expand its operations in the foreign market, and is eyeing Arab consumers. The company exports to the United States, Spain and Italy, and is already in touch with a store in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.
Elizangela Pereira, the brand’s Business and Operations manager, explains that she made contact with the Arab store’s representative this month, which attending a trade show in Las Vegas, in the United States. "I committed to keeping in touch after the fair, to show him our website and collection for him to check out," she claims.
The PRMN group, which owns Puramania, has three other brands, but Puramania is the only one exported. With a total output of 100,000 items per month, the company dedicates 4% of its production to the foreign market, and it is already negotiating in order to enter other countries, such as Canada, Venezuela, Paraguay, Costa Rica and Panama.
Items produced by Puramania include blouses, shorts, coats, dresses, skirts, Bermuda shorts and pants. Elizangela says that she would like to enter the Arab market with her line of jeans products, because she believes it to be her brand’s segment for which there is the most demand in the Emirates.
She is also interested in exporting to other Arab countries. "I believe that they are good buyers. They are loyal [clients], and when they begin a partnership, they maintain it. I am attracted to that market, and I want to look further into it," he said.
Puramania is based in Londrina, in the state of Paraná, has existed for 13 years and has 600 direct employees. Its products are sold at 21 stores in the states of Paraná, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás, Santa Catarina and São Paulo.
