Brasília – The Brazilian trade surplus reached US$ 525 million in the third week of September, as a result of US$ 4.944 billion in exports minus US$ 4.419 billion in imports, according to data disclosed today (20th) by the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade.
So far this month, the trade surplus is US$ 822 million, as a result of US$ 10.648 billion in exports and US$ 9.826 billion in imports.
From January until the third week of September, the trade surplus is US$ 12.506 billion, 41.1% less than in the same period of 2009 (US$ 21.234 billion). So far this year, exports have totalled US$ 136.744 billion and imports, US$ 124.238 billion.
