Brasília – The Brazilian trade balane surplus reached US$ 1.199 billion, disclosed the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade on Tuesday (1). In the same month in 2010, the trade balance surplus was US$ 389 million.
Exports in February totalled US$ 16.733 billion, with a daily average of US$ 836.7 million. Improts reached US$ 15.534 billion, with a daily average of US$ 776.7 million.
In the first two months of the year, with 41 working days, the trade balance surplus reached US$ 1.622 billion, against US$ 210 million in the same period in 2010, with 38 working days.
From January to February, exports reached US$ 31.947 billion, with a daily average of US$ 779.2 million, 26% above the total registered in the same period in 2010 (daily average of US$ 618.5 million). Accumulated improts in the two months reached US$ 30.325 billion (daily average of US$ 739.6 million).
