São Paulo – Tunisia’s Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (Fipa) intends to host a business conference for local and Brazilian executives. The organization made the proposal this week, in Tunis, during a meeting with Ramez Goussous, the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce’s advisor for institutional and international relations.
By email, Goussous said Fipa’s CEO Khalil Labidi plans on having entrepreneurs from all Brazilian exporting industries attend the event to meet Tunisian businessmen. The idea is to host the conference in April next year.
An invitation was also extended for a delegation from the Arab Chamber and the Federation of industries of the State of São Paulo (Fiesp) to attend the Tunisia Investment Forum, an international event due in June 2015.
From the 16th until next Saturday (18th), Goussous is attending a series of meetings and events in Tunisia to work on ties between the Arab Chamber and the North African country.
The advisor’s schedule also includes meetings at the Center for Export Promotion (Cepex), the Tunisian Union for Industry, Commerce and Handicraft (Utica) and the Arab League’s Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (Alecso).
Goussous also convened with the Brazilian ambassador in Tunisia, Julio Bitelli. On the occasion, the diplomat offered the embassy’s support so that bilateral trade between the two countries may be advantageous to both parties.
Last Thursday (16th), Goussous attended the opening of the Business and Technology Exchange (CAT) exhibition. In an address, he underscored the importance of Brazil-Tunisia cooperation and discussed how the Arab Chamber can help pave the way for business opportunities that will increase trade between the two countries.
