São Paulo – Tunisia exported 135,500 metric tons of dates in the first nine months of the 2025/26 harvest season, up 11.5% from a year earlier, according to data from the National Agricultural Observatory (Onagri) published by TAP state news agency.
In the same period of the 2024/25 harvest season, Tunisia had exported 121,500 metric tons of dates.
In value terms, date exports generated TND 854.4 million (USD 285 million at the current exchange rate), up 10.7% from the same period of the previous harvest season. During the corresponding months of the 2024/25 season, export revenue HAD totaled TND 771.7 million (USD 257.6 million).
The European Union was the largest destination for Tunisian dates, accounting for 45.9% of exports. By country, Morocco was the top market, taking 17.6% of shipments, followed by Italy with 11.6% and Germany with 9.8%. The figures cover exports from October 2025 through June 2026.
