São Paulo – About 200 people, among Arab and Brazilian businessmen and representatives of associations, participated in the seminar which opened the activities of the Arab trade mission, which is in Brazil to do business.
Among those who were present was the Jordanian Halim Abdin, director at World Plastics, a company that manufactures pipes for hydraulic systems. This is their first contact with Brazilian companies. He is interested in buying raw materials for his factory, water pumps and valves, as well as finding a representative to commercialise his products in the country. "I am interested in buying and selling," he said.
Brazilian Alexandre Gardin, on the other hand, representative of the trading company Curaçao, wants to find buyers for a series of products, such as building material, electronic goods, furniture, foods and garments. Gardin was hired by Curaçao to work exclusively opening the Arab and Eastern European markets.
The director of Jordanian agency Modern Tours & Travel, Farid Moussa, came to Brazil to promote tourism in Jordan for business and leisure purposes alike. He also wishes to make available business travel packages from Jordan to Brazil.
