São Paulo – Vehicle exports from Brazil dropped 7.1% in September year-on-year and 35.6% year-to-date from a year ago. Manufacturers shipped 36,600 units abroad in September and 337,500 units year-to-date, the National Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association (Anfavea) reported this Monday (7). September also saw a slight decline in exports from August (-0.2%).
Vehicle production dropped 8.3% in September from August. September saw 247,300 units produced from 269,800 in August. From September last year, this means a 10.9% hike. Year-to-date through September, Brazilian vehicle production saw a 2.9% increase, amounting to 2.26 million produced units.
