Garment industry from Brazil, established by Lebanese immigrant, plans to double exports
Cristina Malhas, based in the city of Blumenau, in southern Brazil, intends to increase foreign trade participation from 15% to 30% of sales. The company currently produces around 500,000 products a month and exports to Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, the Canary Islands, and to countries in the Mercosur. Apart from their own brand, the garment industry also makes products for brands like Adidas, Hello Kitty and Decathlon.
