São Paulo – The Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex) and the branch of the Society for the Promotion of Excellence in Brazilian Software (Softex) – in the city of Campinas, in the interior of the state of São Paulo, should renew an agreement today (9) for the international promotion of software produced in the city.
Together the organizations should invest R$ 8 million (US$ 3.5 million at current exchange rates) to increase software exports to US$ 12 million in 2006 and US$ 16 million in 2008. The main target market is the United States. Until 2008, the participation of software companies from the city is forecasted in 28 commercial promotion events.
