In Alto Araguaia, development comes by train
In the third ANBA article about transport infrastructure and agribusiness in the midwestern Brazilian state of Mato Grosso, ANBA shows the impact of the arrival of the Ferronorte railway tracks to the small city with a population of 11,738 inhabitants, in the southeast of the state. Large companies like Coinbra, Galvani, Bunge and Cargill established offices in the city and generated over 500 new jobs, changing the economic profile of the city.
